FIGURE SKATING

Join Us For Theme Skates Each Month at Schwan Super Rink

 

The National Sports Center Skating School offers several options for skaters who have progressed through our Learn to Skate program. We strive to develop each skater’s interest and potential in the sport of figure skating in a supportive and fun environment while promoting the highest level of professionalism and good sportsmanship.

Freestyle Group lessons

  • »  Freestyle 1 – 10
  • »  This class offers group instruction to those in the freestyle levels.
  • »  Cost includes ice time and instructor fee.

Open Freestyle ice

  • »  Open freestyle ice will be available during the holiday break December 26-December 28, 2007 from 9:00 am-10:30 am. Fee is $15 and can be paid at Schwan Super Rink front desk.
  • »  Offered to skaters who wish to purchase additional practice time to work on skills.
  • »  Can be purchased by skaters to schedule private lesson time from one of our qualified staff instructors.
  • »  Fee covers ice only.
  • »  Instructor fee is additional and is paid directly to the instructor.

2008 Stars Academy Spring Session I

2008 Stars Academy Spring Session II

  • »  Offered to any skater in the Delta level of Learn to Skate and above
  • »  On and off-ice conditioning classes.
  • »  Will work on speed, strength and edges necessary for all levels of skating.
  • »  Develop skaters focus on strength, conditioning and proper technique
  • »  Incorporates plyometrics, ballet, and other means by instructor

In addition we also have a USFS Figure Skating Club associated with our program (membership required). Please refer to the Northern Blades NSC club web site: www.northernblades.org for more information on their programs.
