NSC/Herb Brooks Development Camps & Clinics

The National Sports Center, in partnership with the Herb Brooks Training Center, seek to challenge, improve, and develop individual skill sets and team play in a positive, structured, and fun atmosphere. No matter the age or experience level, we have a program for you!

Hockey Concepts Camp FULL
March 25–April 10, 2008

This camp is for the squirt, peewee or bantam player and focuses on the fundamentals of the game. Sessions are twice a week.

Spring Training Camp
April 14–May 22, 2008

For all youth players, both boys and girls. This twice a week camp includes video anaylsis and strength training for older age groups.

Development 1st Hockey Camp
June 16– August 8, 2008

This camp offers the aspiring young hockey player the

opportunity to develop his/her skills in an environment that emphasizes the importance of both training and competition. Games alone will not accomplish your goals. That is why this summer training opportunity offers and effective blend of on-ice and off-ice practices throughout a three month time period.

Forward/Defense Training Clinic
July 7–July 11, 2008

This one-week clinic will focus on training defensemen in all zone areas, checking and angles while forwards focus on scoring, puck support, attacking and face-offs.

Stickhandling/Passing/Shooting Clinic
July 14– July 18, 2008

The emphasis here is on the fundamentals of playing with the puck.

Fall Training Camp
August 4–22, 2008

Prepare for the fall season in this intense three-week camp.

Girls' Goalie Camp
August 11–14, 2008

The focus is in the crease as we present this camp specifically for female goalies. Features include video anaylsis and position specific drills.

The Academy (formerly NSC Hockey Academy)
August 25–29, 2008

A solid blend of on-ice and off-ice drills, fundamentals and games.

Pre-Season Training Camp
September 8–25, 2008

Two day a week program will sharpen players for the coming season. Strength training program part of off-ice conditioning.

Ice For Breakfast
September 9-October 28, 2008
November 4-December 18, 2008

On-ice instruction providing individual skill development. Session blocks will focus on forward, backward, and transition skating, puck handling, and shooting. Take home skills and drills for all participants. Four sessions offered.

Hockey Health Club

The Herb Brooks Training Center is excited to offer the Hockey Health Club membership program. This will be a great way to use the Herb Brooks Training Center when you have the time.
